Trainers in Africa

GIZEH is involved in the programme “Trainers in Africa” through the organisation Opportunity International. As part of this programme, poor, yet highly motivated, young people in Ghana receive professional training, health insurance and tools to keep, all free of charge. They can train to be hairdressers, chefs, seamstresses, car mechanics, painters or even metal workers.

Once they have completed the training, the young people have prospects and as such, it is an effective way of combating poverty and of preventing these youngsters from fleeing their country.
