On 26 September 2026, 25 children and their families came together at our Bergneustadt site to plant their own fruit trees, creating the third “Mutwald” a forest of courage, initiated by the “It’s for Kids” foundation.
The project supports children living with serious or chronic illnesses or facing other difficult circumstances. Each tree is a personal symbol of courage, hope and strength, creating a place the children and their families can return to for years to come.
Circus activities, face painting, fire performances and music made the planting day a memorable celebration. Its lasting legacy is the 25 young trees, which will continue to grow alongside the children who planted them.
At GIZEH, we are delighted to have provided the land and supported the project locally. Thank you to “It’s for Kids”, everyone involved, and especially the children and their families for this special day.
