Donation of high-visibility vests

For greater visibility and safety – GIZEH Verpackungen donates reflective vests to Bergneustadt’s first graders.

At the start of the new school year, GIZEH Verpackungen once again distributed bright yellow reflective vests to all first graders in Bergneustadt. With this initiative, we aim to promote safety, visibility, and local engagement – reflecting our responsibility as a company deeply rooted in the region.

For many children, starting school marks an exciting new chapter – full of curiosity, but also new challenges on their daily way to school. Especially during the darker autumn and winter months, being visible in traffic is crucial to help prevent accidents and ensure that children arrive safely at school.

The official handover took place in early October on the schoolyard of Sonnenschule Bergneustadt. Together with Mayor Matthias Thul, two representatives of our company – Pia Ulbrich (Head of HR) and Tobias Corten (Technical Training Manager) – presented the vests to the first graders. They were accompanied by the school principals Christoph Blauth (Sonnenschule), Alexandra Stahl-Hochhard (GGS Hackenberg), and Elvira Kessler-Thönes (GGS Wiedenest).

There, the vests were tried on and tested with obvious delight.

“The safety of children is especially close to our hearts. With these reflective vests, we want to make a small but important contribution to ensuring that the youngest members of our community are clearly visible and arrive at school safely,”
explained Pia Ulbrich, Head of Human Resources at GIZEH Verpackungen.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this project possible once again and we wish all first graders a safe and happy start to their school journey!
