Naume Children's Foundation: We have helped where the need is largest

In Africa, GIZEH has supported the commitment of a team working in civil war-torn northern Uganda.

The victims of the civil war are mainly children. More than half of them live in the district of Gulu-Northern Uganda alone. Most of the families and village communities in this region have been destroyed.
Many children have fled from the army or have been released and have been seriously ill, traumatized and suffering from infectious diseases and hunger ever since. They have no homes and live in camps. There is hardly any medical care and the chances of schooling and education are slim.

The Naume Children's Foundation is committed to long-term support in the Gulu-Northern Uganda region:
Education and training

   • Construction of a boarding school for needy children, mainly orphans
   • Basic medical care
   • Supply of clean water and food
   • Supply of clean water and food

Board members of the foundation and volunteer teams travel to the crisis region at their own expense in order to realise the foundation's goals. The children and young people in Gulu-Northern Uganda need quick and unbureaucratic help.
