Through the organisation Opportunity International, GIZEH has become involved as a ‘trainer in Africa’. In this programme, poor but highly motivated young people in Ghana have received free three-year vocational training, health insurance and work tools that remain in the possession of the trainees. They were trained as hairdressers, cooks, tailors, car mechanics, painters or metal workers.
Completed vocational training creates prospects for the young people and thus combats poverty and displacement in the long term.
